”On the power of images and the image of power” The purpose of this study was to examine the stereotypes of power and gender in photographs in Swedish newspapers. Our questions were: How are gender and power described through the images in the Swedish newspapers? What image of reality do the stereotypes convey? Are there ways to counter stereotypes in photographies in Swedish newspapers?
