Purpose: The main purpose of this study is to examine how the Swedish press covers the European Union. The study also examines older research of both media coverage and public opinion. Method and theory: The study examines four of Swedens bigger newspapers. The examined dates were all in the span of one year, October 2008 until September 2009. The dates were chosen randomly and formed a simple random sample of 21 days i.e. three synthetic weeks.
