Journalism and Sensibility Journalists have to face many difficult situations in their day-to-day work. They meet people who might be both physically and psychologically injured and have to deal with all that when it comes to their work and their personal feelings. (Englund, 2008). The purpose of this study was to investigate how that affect journalists and how they think about the meetings with victims and their kins and relatives. Further more, with other difficulties you come across in your daily work as a Swedish journalist and how you cope with these issues in regard to various coping strategies, (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984). Deep interview studies with six experienced journalists from Gothenburg and a web-based survey have all been conducted with 263 newspaper-, radio- and TV-journalists in various parts of Sweden. The study showed that there are many difficult situations you have to think of and deal with all along as a journalist, concerning both ethical and emotional issues.
