Supervisor Monica Löfgren – Nilsson and Annika Bergström Course Term Paper in Media and Communication Studies Aim The aim of the project is to look at executive managers’ attitudes towards the internal newsletter suNytt, and the way in which they keep their employees informed. Method A qantitative approach using a questionnaire developed from an attitude survey. Material Sahlgrenska University Hospital is a large organization for medical care. The Department of Information and communication have several internal avenues for the Distribution of information. The internal electronic newsletter suNytt is one of these, and the subject of this project. Main result The executive managers tend to use suNytt for information about the organization. They consider it to be their responsability to keep their employees informed. However, they also need other sources of information. Our research idicates this may be due to a lack of clarity in the purpose of suNytt. Similarly the content is not sufficiently comprehensive for suNytt to be used as the sole source of information.
